DOT Examinations

Our staff follows the most current regulatory guidelines of the Department of Transportation (DOT), and other federal and local controls regarding preventive measurements and safety requirements. Mandated exams we perform include, but are not limited to:

  • DOT exams
  • Blood lead level monitoring and surveillance exams
  • Respirator use medical clearance
  • Hearing conservation evaluations and medical monitoring
  • Substance abuse testing

Tailored Preventive Examinations, Testing, and Immunizations

Our Medical Examinations include:

  • Baseline and surveillance examinations
  • Hepatitis B immunizations
  • Hepatitis A immunizations
  • Measles, mumps, and rubella immunizations
  • Titer

Drug and Alcohol Services

Drugs and alcohol in the workplace can cost countless dollars in increased work injuries, productivity and liability. If you are looking for assistance with DOT or non-DOT drug and alcohol testing compliance, Alaska Urgent Care can assist with your needs.

Alaska Urgent Care follows the DOT guidelines for collecting, handling and/or testing specimens and reporting results. All staff is certified in the training requirements mandated by the DOT and are knowledgeable of the federal regulations to ensure program compliance and integrity. All screening results that are non-negative are confirmed with gas chromatography. A Medical Review Officer (MRO) reviews all test results.

Patient confidentiality is always maintained and ensured.
